Every year I do an annual recap and this year I thought it would be fun to do one through video.  2015 started off great, and some great things happened.  We visited Vegas and Italy, we skied a lot and rented a cottage in the Summer with 20 friends.  We celebrated our good friends who got married, welcomed two new nephews (my best friend & sister both had their second babies) and ate some great food.

However, there were some very sad times, as we lost Marco's Dad suddenly which was tremendously devastating and had to say goodbye to our family dog, Peanut.

I'm going to let the video and happier moments do the 'talking' and as always, thanks for watching!

Happy New Year ladies!  I know, I'm a few days late but hopefully you don't mind me taking a few days to recover and relax.  I'll be sharing a full recap of the weekend tomorrow but wanted to hope on and say hello.

First, wanted to send a big hug to all of you that come and hang out with me, whether daily or every now and again--thanks for keeping up, sending love and all the support.  I love connecting with you on here, so thank you.

Finally, the little collage above is a fun option where you can find your most liked photos on Instagram from the year; you can make yours here.  Also, if you'd like to follow along on Instagram, I post a ton on that there never makes it to the blog (I'm acoest1984).

Hope you had a great weekend and see you tomorrow!

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a great evening on Wednesday, whether you hit the sheets before midnight or stayed up to celebrate it.  I went to a house party with friends where the food was on point, the drinks were flowing and the excitement was buzzing.  We did the countdown to midnight and cheers'ed the night away.

Now that I've recovered from that, I'm sharing some highlights of the past year (aside from my favourite outfits, which I've already shared).

2014 was easily the best year of my life (big words there, but true!); so many great things happened it will be hard to top this year, but that's what is so great about making memories: you have them forever.

I'd love to share a few pictures after the jump if you'd like to see...

Today I'm sharing some of my favourite outfits from 2014 and will also be back with some new years resolutions as well (are you making any?).  Additionally, I'll be breaking my annual recap into two: the usual outfits and to come, a recap of things that happened.

It always seems as though we proclaim, 'I can't believe it's the end of the year!' and yet, here we are.  Thank you so much for reading along, your support and comments.

Happy New Year!

Keeping with tradition, I've pulled together some of my looks from 2013 to rally up a little fashion recap.  2013 turned out to be a really great year, and an extension of the great second half of 2012.  I'm a firm believer that if you put positive energy out into the world you will get it back, and while that's not always possible--we're all real here--if you make a conscious effort to do so, it will eventually come natural and great things will begin to happen.

I set a few New Years resolutions for myself this time last year which were:
* Do my hair more often--versus just throwing it up--complete; and
* Become better at doing my make-up--complete (I have become a blending pro.  Okay, pro might be a strong word).

Resolutions don't have to be big or un-accomplishable, they can be small, mini accomplishments you make throughout the year, not necessarily with a deadline.  For instance, two years ago I set up monthly resolutions, with more attainable goals like sew a top, floss more and wear clothing that I had purchased that still had tags on it.

I will be back in a few days to share my resolutions for 2014, so stay tuned while I fine tune that list.

As always, thanks for reading and being here, whether you're a newbie or a long-time friend, I so appreciate you coming to my little corner of the Internet to check out what I'm up to.  Your support and the friendships mean so much.  Seriously, every. single. one of you.

Happy New Year!

Annual recaps from years past:
* 2012
* 2011
* 2010

As with the past two years, I've done outfit recaps of the previous year.  The first half of 2012 was not ideal, to say the least, but the second half of this year has been pretty freaking wonderful!  A lot of great things have happened to me (filming a tv show for Xtreme Waterparks, winning the Place d'Orleans Fashion Vlogger gig, traveling to Vegas with my bff, getting asked to be the face of the 2012 Holiday Campaign for Place d'Orleans, traveling to Dominican Republic with great friends, watched my sister get marriednumerous summer nights out with my girls, meeting some new and great people, creating a YouTube channel, and lots of great weekends, to name a few) and I couldn't be more grateful.

Additionally, I'm so grateful for all of you who read, the comments you leave and just the fact that you come here to see what I'm up to and are interested.  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.  You make blogging more fun, more worthwhile and more enjoyable.

I see 2013 as an even bigger opportunity to grow and be a better person and accomplish mini goals I have in my head and just enjoy life.  I hope you can and do too.

Happy New Year!  To 2013!

Years past:

2011 has proven to be the most difficult year of my life, and while things didn't come up all roses, I do count my blessings at what I have overcome and how much I have grown.  It also makes me grateful for each day, and each day that gets a little better and I get a little stronger.  As one of my favourite quotes goes, 'Where there is no struggle, there is no strength'.

I am looking forward to continuing to put one foot in front of the other for this new year, growing and always striving to be the best version of myself.

Cheers and happy new year!
