I'm feeling uninspired so no words today.  Hope your Tuesday is great, though!

Honestly, how many (faux) leather jackets can I buy in one season?!  This would be the third, or fourth, considering I bought two at the same time.  I know.  The worst part?  It's now too cold here to actually wear them outside, however, I was super anxious to put this bad boy to good use so I made it work for indoors - and I'm quite pleased (so pleased that I belted it over another outfit within a week).

So Christmas is a mere three days away (omg, typing that just make me freak out a little more) and I'm so unprepared.  My shopping is almost done (is it ever really done?  Like, don't you always feel you need, 'just one more thing'?  ...story of my life) but I haven't started wrapping.  That was supposed to be last night and I ended up making some jewelery for a few friends as Christmas gifts (still productive) plus I had a couple orders from customers as well.  Tonight I will wrap, I must, I must, I must increase ... the amount of wrapping I do...?  Right.  How about just start.  Sheesh.  I'm on a time crunch tonight too, as my girl friend and I are doing our gift exchange tonight around 9pm and I just found out that her boyfriend got her one of the same things I got her (out of three items I have for her).  Awesome.  So, I will be on a mad hunt to exchange it for something else (yes, all tonight before the exchange, before doing all my wrapping and all that jazz).  I'll be sure to post about our exchange and show you my goodies!  Yipee, Christmas is fun!

Say hello to my new (wardrobe) BFF: this (p)leather jacket that I just picked up the other day.  When I saw it, it was a no brainer and I had to snatch it up.  This is the first time I've worn it and I love it.  I can just see myself pairing it with my incoming favourite fall colour (olive), skinny jeans, flowy dresses and more (thankyouverymuch).

Well, as predicted, it was a super busy weekend.  I spent Friday night shopping for a birthday gift, as planned and scored big time.  I was able to get my future SIL a yellow trench, a thin-knit red halter with ruffles, a pair of drop earrings, an army-inspired sleeveless vest, a pink pashmina and a gift certificate for her to buy herself a new Thomas Sabo charm for the bracelet she has.  She loved it all, which was great.

Saturday we went to the jeweller and started designing our wedding bands (very excited!) and then got some poutine and made our way back home.  That evening was the birthday party.

Lastly, Sunday, we registered (again) at another store and then met with our venue.  We hit up my parent's house for dinner and my future in-laws came over so we could all discuss the upcoming plans.  It was a late night but very productive.  How did your weekends shape up?

* PS - did you notice the shredded top I'm wearing?  It's a new item available for purchase in my Etsy Shop!

I am loving Jeffrey Campbell studded wedges so much, but the price tag that goes along with them?  Out of reach.  So, I have decided to try and re-create my own version of the studded shoes.

I started with an older pair of wedges from Aldo (which actually, I purchased a second pair the following year at a super discounted price because I had loved them so much the year earlier - and they still had my size, rare and amazing) with a hemp/espadrille base (cork would work too).

{ I needed 500 push pins }

{ start with the bottom row and push the pins into the wedge along the sole }

{ second row of pins fit in between the first row }

{ thumbs are getting sore at this point }

{ ta-dah! }

"Fridays" are always enjoyable: the last working day of a 9-to-5'er, the possibility of staying up late with no repercussions and of course, breaking out a more casual lineup.  Since it was a short week this week, I broke out the jeans for the last day of this week, Thursday.  As posted yesterday, I hurt my back.  Well today I went and got a massage, and while that was great, of course, now I'm  feeling the consequences.  I feel stiffer and more sore all over... small pain for large gain (and no pain tomorrow ... or Sunday ... hopefully!).  Have a great weekend!

Something happened.  While at the gym yesterday, I hurt my back lifting.  Not exactly sure where I went wrong, but it's still hurting.  Not good.  Clearly,  you cannot tell I'm in discomfort (here) as I'm getting my pose-on in these pictures, but rest assured, it's not fun.  Fortunately, my sister insisted we go hot tubbing at our parent's house, which was exactly what I needed... and I'm sure an extra long weekend with rest and lots of chocolate should cure it... and perhaps be what the Doctor would prescribe.
