My girl friend just got engaged!  Guess who has been asked to be the (lucky) MOH?  Yours truly.  That's riiiight.  Which means I'm going to have mega hands full as my sister has also asked me to be her MOH and the weddings are within a month of each other and happening next September and October.  Wowee!

A couple weeks ago we went wedding dress shopping for her, for the first time evah and it was awesome.  She's already narrowed it down to two.  Or so we thought.  We are now going to be checking out more bridal shops tonight!

I, of course, played photographer and ensured to get multiple pictures of her in every dress she tried on  and while I can't show you those, I can show you the photo I snapped while waiting for her to emerge in the beautiful white dress.  Oh hello there, it is I, your local Maid of Honour, just hangin' out in the dressing room waiting for the beautiful bride.

I am a creative person.  Or at least that's what everyone tells me.  I love blogging.  I love reading other blogs.  When I see others blogging about the most random things, I often find it interesting, fun and I enjoy reading it.  It can be as simple as a new snack they've created, showing off a pair of new shoes, giving us a sneak peak of their work space or simply giving us a glimpse into their day-to-day life.  So why is it with such simple ideas to blog about, and things I personally like reading on others' blogs, I continue to get bloggers block?  Am I not taking enough photos?  Am I not letting these ideas sink in?  Or am I simply not creative enough?

Creativity doesn't include listing what I'm wearing and why I'm loving it.  That's not creative, those are facts people, and if I could come across witty and humourously sarcastic,I might actually be onto something.  However, we can't all be like that  (and by 'like that' I mean have words that jump off the page at readers and make them snort their milk through their nose as they read, laugh, and enjoy those far-too-creatively-funny words for someone like me to come up with).  Ha! Ha. ha.  Not so funny, right?

Regardless.  Let's up the ante, here, okay?  Stick to to me as I plan to lay the creative smack-down on this blog from here on out.  Okay, maybe don't hold me to that, what if I lose my creative juice flow?  Does anyone have a good recipe?

So I'm siting down writing this post when I realize my tail bone is quite tender (yes, tender).  How did that happen?  And really, how does one get a 'tender' tailbone when you don't know how it happened.  Surely the only time your tailbone hurts is when you know you've done something to it.  Thanks body, also known as Secret Agent Body.

So I'm one of those people that always has to have music playing.  It's one of the first things I do when I get home from work; put some music on.  Whether it's a tv music channel, streaming it online or (last resort) pumping it from my iPhone.  My preference is always hip-hop, dance and ambient.  The latter is always my favourite dining music.  Music is a must when dining.  And when throwing parties.  And when cooking.  And, well, always.  Agree?  Agent tailbone does.

So I know I mentioned at some point before that I was going to consign some of my clothes.  I've never really done much of this before, I always just donate my clothes to the GoodWill or Salvation Army (of course I let my girlfriends go through the stuff beforehand if they want), but this time I thought I'd try my hand at it.  There is a chic consignment store I like in an 'up-and-coming' (or perhaps 'already up') neighbourhood that takes items that would actually be in my closet (aka non-designer) but still have slightly higher standards than your average consignment shop.  I dropped off close to 40 items in March and knew they'd be on the floor, for sale, for two months.  I called the other day to see what my account balance was at and... I made $140!  What a score!  I was ecstatic.  I went to the store, checked out their inventory and eventually cashed out.  I'm a true consignment believer now and plan to always do this.  Have you ever consigned anything?  Are you strictly a donater?  I'd love to hear.

Outdoor outfit shots!  Finally!  I took advantage of the amazing weather last Friday and snapped these shots after work.  The sun was shinning, the wind was blowing and most importantly, the snow was melting.  It was a balmy 10 degrees Celcius (that's 50 degrees F for you American folk) which is ridiculously unheard of for here.  People were driving with their (car) windows down, walking around without jackets and even wearing open-toed shoes (okay, maybe that was just me - but for the record, I did have boots with me but they were so unnecessary).  However, Mother Nature came to her senses the next day and snapped back with temperatures of -10 C.  So much for the heat wave.

See, I told you these jeans were long!  Woohoo!

My girlfriend and I went shopping on Saturday night and had one hell of a successful evening.  Among several other things (which I will share soon), I found some new jeans.  Jeans are something that when you find 'em and they're fantastic, (personally) you should get them (if you can afford it).  It's not everyday that you find awesome jeans and when you're looking for awesome jeans best believe you won't find them (so frustrating).

Onto the jeans!  First off, I found both pairs at Winners (Canada's TJ Maxx, for all you US readers).  So I first found the Foxy jeans and while I don't mind this brand, I've never owned a pair nor found ones that I loved.  I tried them on and they were super long.  They are a straight-leg skinny and so long that on my toes they go past my heels (so rare for a tall chick like moi - 5'11).  They came with chain and elastic suspenders, which might seem cool, but I will be removing them as they're just not for me (with jeans, at least).  I bought a size 9, 35" length and they were $25 (amazing!).

The second pair I found in the clearance section and they are almost a fancy denim as they have some sheen to them.  The brand is Laguna Beach Jean Co., which I've never heard of before (upon further research, they are the 'Crystal Cove' style and you can buy them here for $159).  They are hand stitched with great stitching details around the waistband, pockets and down the legs.  They are a straight-leg skinny and even longer than the Foxy jeans, by a tad.  I bought a size 29 and they are super snug at the waist but it was the last pair and I was in love.  I paid $46 (regularly priced at $60).

The lobby of the hotel we stayed at during our weekend away was so beautiful I asked my mom to snap these shots so I could take advantage. We stopped at H&M on our way into town and despite packing my 'party' outfit, I ended up rocking an entirely new outfit instead.  Enter my new H&M finds.  Jeans.  Dress (worn as a top).  Blazer.  Yipee!

Today is the day my match-making efforts come into play.  I have set up a good friend of mine with someone I work with.  I'm pretty excited they are going out this evening, totally cute.  Who knows what will stem from this, but either way, a fun night for both I'm sure.  I personally have never been set up, have you?

Lastly, I know someone anonymously asked me what these boots looked like IRL on my Christmas Goodies post.  While I've worn them quite a bit, I never snapped any shots of them (oops!).  Next time maybe I'll just twit-pic the request.  Do you follow me on Twitter?

I was thinking about making one of my resolutions to be to wear more (dangly) earrings.  I always wear my cz / diamante studs and it's very rare for me to wear anything else.  I'm much more of a necklace / bracelet person and while some girls can pull of the big necklace and earring look, it's not for me.  I always feel naked without a necklace but I have many earrings and I should try and get some use out of them.  These earrings are actually a favourite pair and would you believe I've had them for over seven years?!  I also bought them in a plum colour and have never seen anything similar since (which.is.awesome).  Are you a (dangly) earring person?

I went and did some Christmas shopping last night and this is what I wore.  I was lazing around the house all day long and with husband working later on, I wanted to put on 'real' clothes (and make up!) and get out of there for a bit.  I ended up only returning a few things (the impulse boots I mentioned), wandering around aimlessly, taking a break on a mall bench before eventually heading home.  First, though, I picked up ingredients so I could make Caesars, pizza and a cheese plate for my hubs.  When he got home, it was the first time he'd seen my hair since I got it done on Thursday evening (both nights I was already sleeping when he got home and in the mornings I was up and off before he was) and he was loving it.  He immediately whipped out his iPhone and started snapping pictures of me, non stop (so cute).  The outfit was a bit hit too as he couldn't stop raving about how much he liked it (score!).

Hubs and I decorated our Christmas tree last night, and while I can't wait to show you all the tree and festive decor, it will have to wait because by the time we were done I was exhausted and in no state to take photos, edit said photos and post them.  Soon, very soon, so for now you get an outfit post.

So being unable to rely on hubs to take my outfit photos is getting a little bit frustrating.  My sister is good, but she's hit or miss and bailed on me the last two days in a row.  Last night, hubs wasn't in the most festive of moods for taking photos, and ultimately, not owning a tripod is becoming an issue.  Why an issue now and now month ago?  Well my lovely readers, I'll tell you why.  Why, because the weather is turning cold, hell-o, it's December (can't believe it!) and while I can always find something to prop the camera on outside, indoors is much different.  A good chunk of our place is carpet, and I refuse to walk on it with my shoes (clean freak coming through) and there are only so many places that warrant an 'acceptable' background.  However, like my sister said, she doesn't want to get me a tripod if I'm just going to purchase a SLR in the very soon future (fingers crossed) and then need a new tripod to fit the new camera.  Le sigh.  What's the solution?  Complaining a bit more might help...

BTW, we've had about two inches of rainfall (or at least that's what's expected by this morning) and it's melted all the snow!  YES!  Love it.  While I obviously love snow at Christmas, it can hold off till a few days before ... but, in all honesty, that's not going to happen (it's suppose to snow tonight - ugh).  Which reminds me, the last time I wore this jacket, it was so warm, and the photos turned out so good too.  Damn gloomy winter weather.

It's almost the end of November and, (am I about the jinx this?) there is no snow yet!  I'm in absolute heaven.  It's so nice to be able to still wear suede boots, heels, open-toe shoes and light-weight jackets (mind you, on Saturday night I did break out the faux fur jacket, it was pretty nippy).  I love the look of bare pavement and it's so rare for us to have visible grass at this time of the year.  I'm lapping it up.  While it is quite brisk, I don't care.  I don't have to deal with ruining my shoes, black ice, shoveling snow.... the list goes on.  I think the forecast is calling for snow later this week, but until then, I'm going to live it up!
